Australian Mark George is, like he says, before all 'Passionate about Mother Nature'. This passion has inspired him to go on some amazing adventures such as sea-kayaking across Bass Strait, man hauling a sled to the North Pole, and scaling awe inspiring mountains including Mount Everest.
This time, Mark George has chosen a trek into the antarctic ice to celebrate the Amundsen Day. He will first sky to the South Pole departing from Hercules Inlet, solo and unsupported.
Once arrived (he hopes of course to be there on 14 December like everyone), he will analyse his situation to see wether he is capable and strong enough to go back to Union Glacier camp site all by himself or not.
On the return trip, if he goes back by himself, he decided to use sails and kite whenever it's possible.
