Michelle Bloomcamp is the mother of 2 daugthers, has a full time job and a dog on top of it all. She has plenty of ways to spend her time but still decided to go to the South Pole.

She always enjoyed the outdoors and is used to ski, bushwalk, and horseriding but ... when you have children these things cease to be a priority. Still there remains the desire to get out and have some adventure.

When others spread out the map of Antarctica and asked if shewould like to join them for a long walk, she went for it. Her children were becoming independent and she was feeling the urge to learn something new and to challenge herself.

This Antarctic expedition is her life's big challenge, the chance to evolve and improve and to demonstrate to her children some of the values she believes in: dedication, pursuing your dreams, working in team, staying positive and being willing to learn. By her performance, she hoped to inspire other women to believe in themselves.
