After all the setbacks the spanish expedition has encountered these last week (sudden rush to fly fom Novo to the Plateau, the bad weather, the Inmarsat problems, the damage to one of their prototype kites), they could finally start their gliding towards the Pole.

Solo Marc Wood has reached the half way mark. Although he has problems with some of his toes, he manages to maintain his 15 nautical miles a day. He has still a lot to cover.

When they landed at the Novolazsarevskaia base, Larramendi and comrades had almost no time to make the final preparations of the voyage. Four hours after landing, they had to fly right away to their departure point.
