The Great Adventure Dawns

Borge Ousland has finished with his coastal tourism along the west coast of Norway. He’s preparing these days to plunge into the great adventure and the great veer towards the east…
Borge Ousland and his crew arrived at Kirkenes on 11 July after some rather pleasant coastal navigation. In all the little ports that they visited, the team received a more than warm welcome. In Berlevag, for example, they were lucky enough to be able to watch, in the little local pub, the football match between Germany and Uruguay for the World Cup Bronze Medal. In Gamvyk, the Mayor reserved a traditional ceremony for them, which consisted of randomly drawing a lucky number in order to attribute it them for the remainder of their trip.
Once arrived in the extreme north of the country, the team made a stopover in Kirkenes and decided to remain in that little port for a few days - the time to test one last time all the technical equipment (such as the underwater anchor in particular) and to get themselves really ready to face the North-East passage.
The three men are on form and are only waiting for the weather’s green light in order to set out again.
