Chus continues to make progress under a dull sky…

Published on 22.12.2008 - Expedicion Caixanova 2008

Still covering approximately 25 kilometres a day, Chus Lago is steadily making her way towards the South Pole.

Nothing special to report in the Spaniard's trek, although on 19th December she passed through 86 degrees South, after upping the pace for 13 hours and covering 24 kilometres. That means she has now completed 60% of her trek.

Chus also reports that she has found the going difficult and that she really had to force herself to get past this imaginary line on the ice.

Apart from that, Chus is also complaining a little about the heat. And she'd like to see a little more blue sky...
