Patriot Hills at last

Still as talkative as ever with her satphone, Meagan McGrath has been talking about her final days in Punta and her arrival at Patriot Hills.
Talking about her various encounters with ALE staff in Punta, about shopping in the town's main stores, about the phone calls she made to her nearest and dearest back in Ottawa to kill time, about the meals she had with the other "polar adventurers", about the trips she made in and around the town and local area, about visiting Punta's various museums, about the never-ending waiting in her hotel room, about inaccurate news and false starts, about her growing impatience, etc. Meagan McGrath has talked about all of that in her various audio reports in recent days.
Then, finally, the big moment arrived and on Friday 27th November it was time for the second rotation of ALE's Ilyushin flights to Patriot Hills -and Meagan set foot in Antarctica. In her latest report dated 29th November, she explained that she was waiting to be dropped off at Hercules Inlet the following day 30th November and that she was trying to leave behind anything that wasn't absolutely essential in her luggage. She also described her enthusiasm at seeing the superb scenery and landscape extending all around the camp.
