The Larsen trio has left

Published on 21.11.2009 - General Info

Eric Larsen and his two clients are on their way and out on the Antarctic polar icecap. The news so far is good, albeit brief.

The American explorer and his two clients arrived at the Patriot hills base on 12th November at same time as the first group of adventurers. Four days later, after a little pussyfooting around caused by the capricious weather, the Twin Otter dropped off Eric, Liu and William at around 5.00 pm local time at Hercules Inlet.

Since then, they have covered an average of eight nautical miles a day. By 19th November, they had already left Patriot Hills behind and on the 21st their position was 80° 25' 533 S and 81° 07' 114 W.
