They’re Finding It Hard To Get Going

Published on 07.04.2010 - Ice Dreams

The two Canadians, Sebastien Lapierre and Olivier Giasson, are having no end of trouble in getting to the starting point of their crossing.

Tuesday, 06 April  : Sebastien and Olivier were unable to get to the glacier yesterday. Because the wind was blowing too hard, they could only do the dog-sleigh part of the trip. For the boat part, we hope for them that the latter will be able today to get to them and to take them to their starting point.

Saturday, 03 April : All is OK. The two adventurers have overcome the handful of difficulties that were delaying their departure. They will therefore be leaving Tasiilaq this Monday in a dog-sleigh, as far as a place where they will then be able to take a boat that will conduct them to the expedition's starting point.
