Up hill and down dale

Cecilie Skog and Ryan Waters have reached the section of their trek that requires them to negotiate some mountainous terrain. But when all is said and done, they're enjoying themselves...
The dispatches coming in from this expedition are extremely short and even on the laconic side. As are their radio contacts with Patriot Hills. Which means we have very little information about how they are progressing.
However, we do know that between the end of November and 6th December, they were making their way up and down a succession of little hills located along their path. When the incline is too steep, they haul one sledge together up to the top of the hill, before retracing their steps and collecting the other.
Apart from that, they are skiing for about 8 hours a day and covering approximately fifteen kilometres in the process. On 30th November, they took a half-day's rest to repair some minor bits of equipment.
