Passing the Mexican border

Pat Farmer has now crossed the Mexican border. Since then, he is accompanied almost every day by a police car. Protection or surveillance ?

We still do not know when exactly Farmer has crossed the Mexican border. Because, despite our e-mails sent to the expedition, the team refuses to date the video which are put on its website about twice a week. But as three vids have been published since he entered Mexico, he has probably crossed the border around 15 August.

Anyway, the crossing was epic because as soos as he has passed the gates (running at night), he has immedaitely been accompanied -volens nolens- by cars, two ambulance vans and blue flashlights until the city center. Of course everyone knows that with the refugees problems USA has with the poor Mexicans trying to jump over the fences to enter the United States, the toll authoirities are more suspicious than ever. Even after three days running on the mexican highways, Farmer has still a police car with him, behind the runner or in front of him. Protection as well as surveillance probably...

Few days ago, Farmer had the fright of his expedition : while he was running gently on a quite road, a huge truck hit him from behind pushing him into the ravin (see the photo above). Fortunately, he hasn't been seriously wounded and could proceed with his running.
